Complete View: A Picture into Users' Financial Accounts
By providing a full picture of customers with multiple financial accounts, Okra's Complete View helps businesses make more informed decisions.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and other factors, Nigeria's active bank accounts figure surged by 14.41% from 97.5 to 111.5 million active bank accounts in 2020.
With the number of unique account holders hovering around 45 million, we can deduce that the average Nigerian has at least two active bank accounts. However, fintech companies, whose business use case necessitates bank account information, are often limited to only the account a user links to them. Further, they are also excluded from other non-bank financial accounts linked to their users.
While this has been a norm, this article introduces a better alternative called Complete View, which provides a full picture of a customer's finances to help companies make decisions and drive traction. From vetting customers based on information from multiple accounts to initiating payments from them, this feature helps businesses stay profitable as they scale.
With Okra's Complete View feature, fintech businesses via the consent of a user can have a view into customers' financial accounts.
Use Cases of Complete View
Let's explore this from the lending perspective. Providing credit services comes with the risk of defaults—particularly when you have access to just one financial account of each customer, to initiate repayments. Suppose you give a loan to a customer and the allotted time for repayment draws near, you would attempt to charge the connected bank account to your application to recover the loan amount.
But imagine, the connected bank account has insufficient funds. That's problematic, right? You'd be forced to wait for the user to top-up their account before attempting to charge the customer again. But what if the user has another bank account with more than enough money needed to repay the loan?
That's where Okra's Complete View product plus Garnishment comes in handy.
Complete View lets you know all the bank accounts a user has and get insights from the accounts so that you can make certain decisions before granting them access to your application.
The Okra garnishment feature helps vendors legally collect money from accounts to repay outstanding debt. It is a great feature for creditors to use when debtors repeatedly ignore requests to pay back what they owe.
