Dayo Fasan is currently the Customer Success Lead at Okra. She is an alumnus of the University of Benin. She enjoys reading, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her grandmother. In her own words:

What was your career life like before Okra?

I worked with several companies across Insurance, Information Technology, and Asset Management. Before joining Okra, I led the corporate investment advisory team at CardinalStone Asset Management Limited. My main responsibility was to manage corporate institutions by selling investment solutions, building sustainable business relationships, and ensuring client retention. I have always been in client-facing roles with business development, sales, and client retention responsibilities.

Why did you leave Asset Management for Fintech?

Monotony. I had gotten to a point where I wanted to do something new and exciting. The things that used to get me fired up were not there anymore, and I was bored. Around that time, someone reposted something on LinkedIn about Okra, and it caught my attention. I read about Okra; I liked that it was a female-led business, and the vision was certainly bigger than Nigeria. I made a few consultations about the brand, and everyone I spoke to had great things to say, so I decided to go for it. And I can say, "So far, I don't regret it."

Why did you choose to join Okra?

The company's vision, the caliber of the people and investors behind the company, and the stage of the business were undoubtedly things that interested me. Also, word on the street about the brand is very encouraging.

During the recruitment process, the COO and the Head of People were very detailed and honest in responding to my questions. I was convinced after the interviews that I was making a great choice to join the team.
